Clibo stores your clipboard history in a local database inside your user Library folder. It is never uploaded anywhere. There is no Clibo account and no cloud service.
Clibo does not collect analytics, usage data, or personal information. The app works fully offline. Crash logs, if any, are written locally and never sent automatically.
Content marked as concealed or transient by password managers (such as 1Password) is never recorded. You can also clear all history or exclude specific apps at any time.
Search, type detection and screen OCR (Apple Vision) all run entirely on your Mac. Semantic search uses an on-device model by default. If you choose to enable “BYOK semantic search”, the indexed text and your queries are sent directly from your Mac to the provider you configure (e.g. OpenAI or a local Ollama) using your own API key — never through any Clibo-hosted server, and never unless you turn it on. Your API key is stored only in your local Keychain.
License purchases are handled by our payment processor. Clibo only receives the license status needed to activate the app; we never see your full card details.
